Ariba to acquire Softface

Rethink IT, May, 2004

Ariba is to acquire Softface, a private company specializing in applications for streamlining supply chains and purchasing.

Terms were not disclosed but Ariba plans to hire all 15 Softface employees.

The purchase will extend the Ariba supply chain software by adding 'data cleansing' facilities. This will make the functionality of the Ariba application--which analyzes data about companies' purchasing histories, suppliers and contracts--more complex and help streamline the process more effectively.
