Even now Apple hasn't enough financial firepower to simply invent every technology it uses. But if it stays on its current path, it may have soon.

A RADICAL TURNAROUND FOR APPLE

Apple is not just growing in iPod and music sales. The company has made a radical turnaround, reinventing itself in the desktop, the peripherals market, around the enterprise and in various aspects of consumer markets. The Mac architecture alone has just $430m in one year, peripherals are up $360m in a year and software is up $200m.
