In this sequel to 100 Library Lifesavers, Bacon, a secondary school library media specialist in Indiana, offers more solutions to challenges of the job. The "lifesavers" are divided into ten "Survival Strategies" by topic: these include distance learning, Information Literacy Standards, lessons to improve reading motivation, library management and skills, personal and professional development, library games for various grade levels, library media center best practices, getting organized, and technology tools. Within each section are a number of briefly described different strategies--e.g., various reading activities to motivate students, such as reading journals, reading about different states, and author visits--along with tips and "trips" (Web sites for more information). Reproducible activity sheets, contracts and forms are included. The book is designed for busy professionals, with many bulleted lists and a perky, upbeat tone; most will find at least a few useful and easy-to-implement ideas here. It will be particularly helpful for new school librarians. Paula Rohrlick, KLIATT
