Crochet has been undergoing a renaissance in the last several years. Several fashion designers have created beautiful and unique crochet jewelry and enthusiasts are now exploring how to make crochet jewelry. The book is divided into six basic chapters: materials, tools and techniques, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins and rings. There is information about various types of yarn, thread and wire, beads and sequins, getting started (how to crochet), basic stitches, working in rounds, beaded crochet, shaping and other techniques. Each of the core techniques is demonstrated in step-by-step photographs. Some of the projects are Amulet Purse, Gemstone Lariat, Chunky Flower Bracelet, Beaded Chain Bracelet, Hoop Earrings, Flutterby Pin, and Hemp Disc Pins. This collaborative work is based on the work of several international designers. Kim and Pulvermachker are the owners of Loopy Mango, a New York boutique specializing in handmade clothes and jewelry.
