Classic stories ably read by film actor, director and writer Welles (who died in 1985). Stories range from fable to magic, the occult, and mystery. Although Welles has a rich, powerful, at times booming voice, strangely he doesn't vary his voice for the many different characters. These stories are on most high school reading lists, so this is suitable for most collections. Sherri Forgash Ginsberg, Chapel Hill, NC
