This novel centers on a young girl who is living in two worlds. The first world is her high school, where she is running for vice-president of her class and is being pursued by a young man who seems to be able to communicate with the dead. This is very convenient because the young woman is haunted by a handsome ghost. Only she and her would-be boyfriend are aware of the ghost, which leads to some situations difficult to explain to her friends and family. She is confused about her feelings towards boys, and the boys are in competition for her affections. The conflict of natural and supernatural is rivaled only by the normal conflicts and tensions of high school life, blended families, religion, and adjustment to a new town and new friends. This unlikely combination makes for good listening Nola Theiss, Sanibel, FL
