New Mexico's Hispanic governors - Letters - Letter to the Editor

Latino Leaders: The National Magazine of the Successful American Latino, Dec, 2003 by Maria de Lopez

Dear Latino Leaders,

Your Latino politicians edition was a brave attempt at tackling a very important subject, and one which has been ignored for too long by mainstream media-hopefully they will learn from you.

However, it did contain some glaring mistakes, the most inexcusable one being your calling Bill Richardson the first Latino governor in a century. He is one of a line of New Mexico Hispanic governors, which anyone who has been there knows.

You should know better, so get it right next time!

Yours,

Maria de Lopez
