Generic 750 mg levofloxacin for bacterial infections in adults

A first-time generic formulation of 750 mg levofloxacin tablets (Levaquin, Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) has been approved by the FDA. Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic and is currently indicated for various infections in adults including uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections.
