Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, Oct, 2003
Adoxa[R] 75 mg tablets provide dermatologists with greater flexibility in the dosing of doxycycline therapy for the treatment of acne. Adoxa is currently available in 50 and 100 mg tablets. All three Adoxa Tablet strengths are small, easy-to-swallow, film-coated tablets, making them easier to swallow than traditional doxycycline capsules.
Adoxa Tablets are the first and only doxycycline tablets for the adjunctive treatment of severe acne. Through their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, the tetracycline family of drugs suppresses P. acnes and halts the inflammatory process leading to comedonal formation.
