The FDA granted Atrix Laboratories tentative approval of the Abbreviated New Drug Application to market fluticasone propionate cream 0.05%. The new generic product is therapeutically bioequivalent to Cutivate, which is marketed by GlaxoSmithKline. The patent for Cutivate cream expired on May 14. 2004.
