The FDA approved Galderma Laboratories' MetroGel Topical Gel 1% for the treatment of rosacea. This new gel not only includes a higher strength of metronidazole but also has a new vehicle which incorporates HSA-3, a combination of niacinamide, betadex, and propylene glycol. The vehicle is water-based and contains no alcohol.
