Data Filter: The News You Need in Easy-to-Swallow Gel Cap Form

Electronic Gaming Business, Dec 3, 2003

The British love of WWII seems to bring the tepidly reviewed Medal of Honor: Rising Sun to the top of the UK charts and helps EA nab the top four slots with Activision demonstrating strength with THUG and True Crime, both of which seem to be selling well in the U.S. as well this season. Following uneven reviews, Rockstar sales for Manhunt aren't enough to make the top ten. Playstation's dominance also keeps the bestselling Xbox title, Project Gotham Racing, and GameCube title, Mario Double Dash Racing, down at the 17 and 16 spots respectively. Prince of Persia will be interesting to watch in coming weeks, as hype, buzz, and reviews suggest it should have premiered higher, although some gamers may have been waiting for the Xbox version before buying in.
