Five kids get to wondering about Henry Fickle who up and disappeared from the rickety, deteriorating, and seemingly abandoned old house on Windy Drive. Fickle got a large package delivered to him by mailman Ralph Picit, and then simply vanished leaving no trace of himself or the package. The search evolves into a unexpected adventure with the discovery of an ancient scroll, a note written in emerald-green ink, and Fickle's hidden laboratory housing some rather unusual inventions. The debut novel of Michele Mack, Henry Fickle And The Secret Laboratory is the first volume of a planned trilogy that will have a special appeal to young readers ages 8 to 14 who have enjoyed J. K. Rowling's imaginative Harry Potter books or such delightful fantasy stories as Roald Dahl's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
