Brightly colored with the illustrations of Patti Argoff, I Am Torah by Beily Paluch is a twelve page board book for children ages newborn to 3 years that offers a playful action rhyme text perfect for parent and child interaction. The subject is how a precious Torah scroll is written with happy children stretching out their arms to be as wide as the parchment, stand up straight and tall like a feathery quill, and rotate their arms as the scroll is rolled up. At the end of the rhyme, the Torah is ready for a kiss. Also very highly recommended for preschoolers is Beily Paluch and Patti Argoff's other "Playful Action Rhyme" board book, Braid The Challah (192962-817X, $5.95).
