Cheerfully illustrated by Cindy Brownsberger Adams, Baby Bible ABC by Robin Currie is a perfect boardbook addition to the Cook Communications Ministries "Baby Bible Series" for preschool and kindergarten aged children. Each two-page spread features a letter of the alphabet, a very simple summary of an event from the Bible, recommended gestures to act out the words when talking to a very young child, a brief poem referring to the letter, and a gentle, cartoony color illustration. For example, L is for Lion: Taken from Daniel 6 / The King threw Daniel into the pit. (Make your arms into a circle) / Daniel was surrounded by lions! (Roar!) / Daniel prayed and God kept him safe. (Fold hands to pray.) // L is for lions / with Dan in the pit. / But God kept him safe. / He was not hurt a bit. An additional poem covering the whole alphabet is in the back. An excellent educational and quality time tool for Christian parents to share with little ones ages 0-3, that effective emphasizes learning through rhyme and picture.
