Two excellent new additions to NBM's comic art line are recommended picks. Lewis Trondheim and Manu Larcent's Astronauts Of The Future (1561634077, $14.95) presents two kid geniuses in a world of parents who are aliens/robots. Full-color art throughout enhances the fun and funny comic story of the enterprising kids and their battles, creating a series of unique adventures. Patrick Atangan's Silk Trapestry And Other Chinese Folktales: Songs Of Our Ancestors V. II (1561634-034, $12.95) provides the second volume adapting three Chinese tales centered around the unique struggle of the artist. Again, full color throughout enhances a wonderful set of Japanese folk stories, with Atangan using classic Japanese ukiuo-e graphics and elements of Chinese art to bring authenticity to his works.
