Early Christianity in the context of antiquity; v.1

BR60

The series was conceived as a result of collaboration between scholars of antiquity and Christianity, and the first volume presents 13 selected papers from the January 2005 international conference The Reception of Antique Religion and Culture in Judaism and Christianity. They investigate how the processes of reception worked when Jews and Christians reused and integrated elements from ancient Greco-Roman traditions. No general conclusions were expected at such an early stage of the specialty, so none were sought or found. No index was deemed necessary either.
