Belgian photographer Baetens introduces the art of nude photography for both amateur and professional photographers. Starting with the history of photographing the nude, he continues with both artistic and technical advice. He discusses finding a theme, setting and model, how to work with a model and the use of color or black and white film. Techniques include lighting, composition, focus, poses and locations. The final creation of the photograph in the darkroom or on the computer is elucidated. A novel addition to the book is a gallery of work by several photographers, allowing the student to study the many ways in which nude photography is expressed. Oversize: 10x12".
