For each style, she gives advice on office layout, desk arrangement, and management of information, including paper and electronic files, financial recordkeeping, billable hours, and the use of planners and electronic organizes. She also gives tips for home offices, alternative work areas, and home and office libraries, and offers advice on the use of personal services, marketing and entertaining, and professional wardrobe. The book addresses the organizational needs of all types of lawyers, including corporate, nonprofit, government, private, academic, and solo practitioners.
