The fesler-lampert minnesota heritage book series
TF25
Originally published in 1982, this title has been reissued as part of the Fesler-Lampert Minnesota Heritage Book Series without updates or changes. The Chicago & North Western's 1935 line between Chicago and the Twin Cities was dubbed the "400" for its ambitious schedule: 400 miles in 400 minutes. This book documents the 400s of this era complete with historical black and white photographs. Additional sections include color photographs of the trains and a listing of cars constructed for the streamlined 400s by Pullman-Standard. Although containing a fair amount of local history, this book is intended for train aficionados.
