Three workshops were added to the conference program to focus on particularly important topics in grid and pervasive computing. They covered workflow management; grids, clouds, and virtualization; and service, security, and data management technologies. The throughput from initial request for submissions to final printing and binding produced 21 papers. Among the topics are a dynamic data integration approach to building scientific workflow systems, estimating transfer speeds for adaptive scheduling in the data grid, web-base authoring and the secure enactment of bioinformatics workflows, the dynamic provision of computing resources from grid infrastructures and cloud providers, networking challenges and resultant approaches for large-scale cloud construction, and toward a generic framework for a ubiquitous system. Only authors are indexed.
