In this undergraduate computer graphics textbook, Sung (U. of Washington Bothell) and two other computing and software systems experts introduce the topics beyond standard programming that go into a computer's graphics processing unit (GPU) rather than the central processing unit (CPU). They cover foundation concepts, but the main focus is on how to build interactive computer graphics through tutorials using the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 integrated development environment. Appendices include information on the Phong illumination model, a review of basic vector math, and a summary of software library version changes. The bundled CD-ROM contains the source code (in C ) for the tutorials.
