Annihilator takes on C&D stream

Construction & Demolition Recycling, March-April, 2004

* Continental Biomass Industries Inc. (CBI) has introduced its Annihilator high-volume shredder.

In one of its earliest demonstrations, the machine processed 789 tons of material in a five-hour span for a rate of more than 150 tons per hour, according to CBI President Anders Ragnarsson.

CBI Director of Business Development Mark Taitz says the high-volume, low-speed Annihilator is a match for what customers are seeking. "Our customers' main concerns are high-volume and consistent throughput," he remarks. "Offering them a machine that can meet those demands even under the nastiest conditions--with the ability to take on rugs, tires, railroad ties, mattresses, etc.--without breaking stride is exciting news."
