Morbark Predator now available with optional loader

Construction & Demolition Recycling, July-August, 2005

Morbark Inc., Winn, Mich., has announced that its Predator shredder is now available with a self-contained loader, making the slow-speed, high-torque primary reduction machine capable of self loading.

The unit can process up to 300 yards per hour, depending on the material. Because loading with a grapple offers the operator a better view of the material, detection of contamination is easier.

The Predator with loader is built standard on a fifth wheel frame with a tri-axle design.

The shredder, designed to process materials like construction and demolition debris, railroad ties and other contaminated material streams, is equipped with the Morbark Iqan System, which automatically adjusts speeds, pressures and rotor direction.

The shredder opening measures 63 inches by 76 inches and feeds material to 15-inch diameter counter-meshing rotors with hooked star shredders mounted to the rotor in a spiral pattern.

Morbark manufactures horizontal and tub grinders and related recycling equipment.
