Expression, Nov-Dec, 2005
Paper crafters can now create their own custom textures using STYROFOAM brand Puffy Paper Thin Foam and simple household items. Easy-to-use Puffy Paper will help convey your story through its rich textures and contours. Create interesting all-over patterns by placing a large, unmounted stamp, wire mesh, burlap fabric or plastic canvas on the Puffy Paper and then feed it through a pasta machine or roll with a rolling pin. For smaller areas, simply stamp Puffy Paper with a handheld stamp. Embossing tools can be used for free-form texturing and drawing on Puffy Paper. For a little drama, highlight raised areas with chalk, ink, paint or metallic finishes. For more creative ways to texture, stamp, emboss, cut, shape and color Puffy Paper, visit www.puffypaper.com.
