Northwest began charging $5 for each domestic ticket issued through Northwest reservations offices in the United States effective August 27 2004, $10 for each domestic ticket issued through Northwest's airport locations in the United States and Canada, and $3.75/$7.50 for one- way/roundtrip tickets issued through the CRSes (computer reservations systems) used by travel agents to book trips. Priority Club Rewards
Through December 31, Priority Club Rewards members can redeem 10 percent fewer points for $50 or $100 gift certificates from a range of retailers and restaurants, from Amazon.com to Waldenbooks. With the discount, $50 certificates are reduced from 20,000 to 18,000 points, and $100 certificates are discounted from 38,000 to 34,200 points. Beginning today, members of Southwest's Rapid Rewards frequent flyer program can receive double credit when they purchase airfare on southwest.com using their Visa card. Southwest has extended until April 1, 2005, the Rapid Rewards 50-percent bonus offer three credits for each roundtrip or 1.5 credits for each one-way trip booked at southwest.com.
