Allegiant Air

Allegiant Airlines flew 274.5 million RPMs in November, up 64.5% from the year-ago month. Capacity rose 62.3% to 348.1 million ASMs and load factor increased 1.1 points to 78.9%. Dec 18, 2007

JetBlue Airways

JetBlue Airways CEO Dave Barger called the flight caps "regrettable but necessary" and said the JFK-based LCC was happy with DOT's plan. Continental Airlines Chairman and CEO Larry Kellner praised Peters for leading a "healthy debate about options to reduce delays and congestion in the nation's most congested airspace and to move forward with several sensible and meaningful steps." Skybus Airlines

Skybus Airlines lost $16 million in the third quarter, according to statistics the startup LCC provided to the US Dept. of Transportation and cited by several press reports. Revenue was $22 million as the carrier achieved a 79% load factor. Yield was just 5.08 cents. The Ohio-based airline told media that the results were "in line" with expectations. The carrier, which launched flights in May, wants to fly to 15 cities from its hub in Columbus, Ohio. Dec 20, 2007

Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines plans to participate in industry consolidation in the future, CEO Gary Kelly said. "At some point, I think we'll probably acquire somebody," Kelly said in a Q-and-A with the Dallas Morning News. "There's bound to be a scenario that we would say, 'That scenario out of these 10, yep, that one would work for us.' We'd want to be prepared for that opportunity that presents itself." Dec 20, 2007

Virgin America

Virgin America lost $34.8 million during the third quarter, its first full quarter of operation, according to statistics released by the US Dept. of Transportation and cited by Dow Jones. Operating revenues totaled $16.2 million against $51.6 million in expenses. Dec 18, 2007
