Air France-KLM, China Southern Airlines

Air France, the French arm of Air France-KLM SA, is in talks with China Southern Airlines Co. to extend its reach in China by establishing code-share connections via Guangzhou and Beijing to 14 Chinese cities by the end of the year. May 9, 2007

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is charging passengers an extra EUR50 euros (USD$68) for seats with more leg room, such as exit row seats, in a trial on some long-haul routes, the airline said. KLM, the Dutch arm of Air France KLM, launched the trial on flights to Singapore, Manila and Curacao on Thursday, a spokesman said. If passengers show a willingness to pay more, KLM plans to expand the scheme on other routes -- including European flights -- as it sees an opportunity to generate additional revenue. May 10, 2007
