Auto Europe is offering savings on early bookings for reservations made now through February 29, 2008 for travel through December 31, 2008. Included are discounted rentals, free upgrades and savings for travel to Ireland. The offers include a guaranteed free one-car class upgrade, from compact to intermediate, in select European countries. For example, in Germany, reserve an economy class, Opel Corsa, normally $259 per week and receive a guaranteed free upgrade to a compact class, manual transmission Volkswagen Golf, normally $277 per week. In addition, travelers will receive up to 20% off any prestige, Mercedes Benz or sports car rental in Europe and up to 6% off any European car rental service at any of Auto Europe's 4,000 locations. Savings for travel to Ireland include car rental rates beginning at $9.99 per day. Upgrade offer validity dates, available locations and applicable car categories vary depending upon rental location and are available in select European countries only. Auto Europe services over 4,000 car rental locations worldwide. In addition, through their tour division, Destination Europe, they offer scheduled airfare to Europe and service 3, 4 & 5 star worldwide hotels. Mar 3, 2008

Royal Caribbean Cruises

Norwegian shipbuilder Aker Yards has signed a preliminary agreement with Royal Caribbean Cruises on a fourth Freedom-class vessel for delivery in the second half of 2011. The placement of the order is still subject to varying conditions including board approval and finalization of terms and conditions, Aker Yards said. Royal Caribbean's third Freedom-class ship, Independence of the Seas, will debut this May, while its two Genesis-class ships, also being built by Aker Yards, are scheduled to debut in fall 2009 and August 2010 respectively.
