Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort
Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club is ready for a test-drive. Starting Oct. 7, guests who book this experience receive pick-up from a nearby airport in a 2008 Lexus LS 600h L equipped with a power reclining right-rear massage seat, a biodegradable [sup.3]Spa VIP[sup.2] license plate, a 90-minute all-natural Balance Body treatment in the Willow Stream Spa, a [sup.3]green[sup.2] lunch at the Cascata Grille restaurant and a take-home organic cotton robe. This rejuvenation package begins the moment guests are greeted by a Spa Chauffer at Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and escorted to the resort[sup.1]s $120,000 Lexus LS 600h L. Pamper Me Green starts at $275 per person, excluding tax and gratuities. Package must be reserved 48 hours in advance and is based upon availability. The program is also offered to locals who live or work within a 15-mile radius of the resort. Now through Dec. 18, 2008, guests can add accommodations in a deluxe Fairmont Room from $279 per night. Fairview Park Marriott
Fairview Park Marriott in Virginia recently completed a $3.5 million renovation. The renovation ran five and a half months and encompassed the lobby, lounge and restaurant. An earlier renovation of the guest rooms and health club was completed in 2006. The newly renovated and expanded Ellipse Restaurant and Lounge, includes the addition of a new private dining room, offering an intimate gathering place for meetings or meals. The Lounge has been expanded from 34 to 110 seats and showcases jazz and other musicians from the local Virginia area, as well as daily cocktail specials, local wines and beer brewed in the Gentile Old Dominion. InterContinental Hotels
InterContinental Hotels Group announced the opening of a new $45 million, 118-room Staybridge Suites in Las Vegas. The extended-stay property is the city[sup.1]s first Staybridge Suites hotel. The new five-story all-suite hotel, originally built as a timeshare facility, features two well-designed spacious suite options (deluxe studio and one-bedroom). All suites offer balconies with views of the bright lights of Las Vegas and include in-room DVD/CD players; functional, well-lit work stations with ergonomic seating; two-line speaker phones with direct-dial number; personal voice mail and complimentary local phone calls; and fully equipped kitchens. The new property offers complimentary daily breakfast buffet featuring Wolfgang Puck coffee, complimentary guest laundry and workout facilities, a complimentary 24-hour business services center.
The Staybridge Suites Las Vegas offers the brand[sup.1]s new Outdoor Living Room concept, featuring outdoor all-weather furniture, three pool-side cabanas, a fire pit, grills, music and desert landscaping. Mandarin Oriental, Boston opened its doors on Oct. 6, 2008.
