Tommy & Tuppence: Partners In Crime
Agatha Christie
Acorn Media Group
801 Roeder Road, Suite 700, Silver Spriung, MD 20910
Tommy and Tuppence Beresford were a 1920s husband and wife team of crime-solving private detectives created by Agatha Christie and brought to life in Tommy & Tuppence: Partners In Crime, a superbly crafted British television mini-series which aired in the PBS Mystery! series for American viewers. Now available and enthusiastically recommended as a superbly produced two-volume DVD boxed set that is enhanced with cast member filmographies, Agatha Christie materials, and interactive trivia, fans can once again enjoy the adventures of the vivacious Tuppence (Francesca Annis) and her dapper, dry-witted husband Tommy (James Warwick) from their very first episode (The Secret Adversary) where they stumble into their first mystery (and ensuing marriage) through the final episode capping their career as proprietors of Blunt's Detective Agency. The period costumes, set designs, exteriors, and English countrysides are impeccable. The supporting cast is brilliant in their performances and the stories are sophisticated "whodunits" as only Agatha Christie could create.
