Now widely acknowledged as a modern Christmas season classic and which was originally a 1983 holiday film based on the childhood memories of author Jean Shepherd, A Christmas Story is now available as a complete and unabridged audiobook (3 hours, 2 cassettes) superbly narrated by Dick Cavett. Enhanced with music and sound effects, the story of young Ralphie Parker's yearning for a Red Ryder carbine-action, 200-shot range-model air rifle (and the obligatory warning about risking the shooting out of an eye) will prove entertaining nostalgia for we who are old enough to have our own Christmas memories of prize toys wanted under our own yuletide trees. Highly Recommended!
