Libraries seeking unabridged presentations in durable library binding and a British line of narrators and plots will find Recorded Books' Clipper Audio series inviting, and these new releases are no less compelling than past classics. Julian Rathbone's A Very English Agent (1841979-694, $99.75( receives Paul Matthews' calm and smooth style: set in 1952, it tells of one Cahrlie Boylan who tries to walk into Westminster Palace with a loaded gun and finds himself imprisoned for his efforts at justice: his memoirs reveal one of England's most dramatic events. Charles Cumming's The Hidden Man (1841979-473, $69.75) receives Tim Goodman's complimentary voice enhancing the story of a long-absent father who hopes for reconciliation with his family and tells them of his secret life as an espionage agent. Caroline Lennon provides an adept, even compelling audio enhancement for Sheila O'Flanagan's Too Good To Be True (184-1979597, $99.75), lending her dramatic embellishments to the story of a New York shopping holiday which leads to sudden marriage for Carey Browne. Ann Granger's Flowers For His Funeral (184-1979759, $69.75) enjoys Judith Boyd's experienced style of reading and flair for detail as it tells of Meredith, whose encounter with an old school friend leads to some shocking truth--and a murder. Marian Keyes' Angels (1841971900, $89.75) enjoys Gerri Halligan's style of bringing quiet drama to life as it tells of one Maggie, who leaves her husband and takes refuge with a friend in Los Angeles--and discovers a brand new lifestyle in the process.
