Shooting Star Comics has launched two new titles whose creative storylines and black/white artwork recommended them to fans of comics with sophisticated themes and complex storytelling. Fishnet Angle: Jane Doe #1 features a woman who can't remember her past. But this case of amnesia is complicated by the evidence that she is/was a superhero! And there's a villain patiently waiting for her memory to return so that she will recognize him as the agent of her ultimate destruction. Children Of The Grave: Nightmares #1 is the first of a four volume mini-series that follows a three man team of military expendables who are sent to check out stories of a genocidal slaughter in an Afghanistan-style third world country. The problem is that the graves of hundreds of children are empty--something supernatural is in play amidst the other all too common horrors of war in an Islamic backwater country riven with civil strife.
