Not many people know that the famous aviation pioneer Charles Lindbergh was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus from 1920 to 1922. Written for young readers but of interest to aviation history fans of all ages, Lindbergh's Badger Days by UW-Madison librarian Anne Vandenburgh is enhanced with historical photographs of Lindbergh on campus nicely enhancing the story of his freshman and sophomore years. Also included are sections on Lindbergh's first return to Madison in August 1927 and his acceptance of an honorary doctorate in June 1928. An Epilogue, a bibliography, a listing of photo credits, and an index conclude this slender but intriguing and unique contribution to Wisconsin History in general, and Charles Lindbergh's biography in particular.
