JCN Newswires, Feb 18, 2006
Tokyo, Japan, Feb 17, 2006 - (JCN Newswire) - GaiaX Co. Ltd. (TSE: 3775), a leading Tokyo-based online game and community developer, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new online game site 'mupoh' (http://mupoh.jp), at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2006, with pre-opening from Tuesday, February 14.
'mupoh' is a gaming platform for all online game services managed by GaiaX with all the community characteristics. At mupoh, users will be able to find the titles of all online games scheduled for release by GaiaX in 2006, use only a common ID, enjoy no charge for basic service and purchase various items.
Basic play charges, such as initial game purchase price and monthly price, are free. Additional items are available for purchase by interested players.
In the future, GaiaX also intends to sell and develop these domestic online games in the robust online game markets of Korea, China and Taiwan, the emerging markets in Southeast Asia, and the largest online game markets in North America and Europe.
The five new titles scheduled for release in 2006 are:
1. KongKong Online - Domestic monopoly sales direct from South Korea's Mega Enterprise Co., Ltd (CEO, Sang Min Lee; Head Office, Seoul, Yeouido-dong, Yongdungpo-ku)
2. Twinkle - Joint collaboration with Reveal Lab Ltd. (CEO, Yasuo Tanaka; Head Office, Tokyo, Bunkyo-ku)
3. Tensei! Karakuri Bowling - Joint collaboration with Red Entertainment Corporation (CEO, Yasuaki Nagoshi; Head Office, Tokyo, Chuo-ku) and Dice Co. Ltd. (CEO, Akihiko Kozeki; Head Office, Tokyo, Shibuya-ku)

Registration on mupoh starts from 2:00 PM on February 14 (Tuesday), the pre-opening. Players only pay for the items they want to buy; there is no charge for basic play. The community section in mupoh only has minimal functions such as profile pages and forums, because the priority is on communication within the games.
