Software Magazine, Sept, 1999

JDA's calendar year 1998 software revenue reported in the Software 500 (June issue) should have included a footnote stating that professional services revenue was included in this figure.

Magic Software's percent change in software revenue from calendar year 1997 to 1998 was incorrectly reported in the Software 500 to be -24%. The correct percent change is -6%.

Check Point Software did not include their maintenance/support revenue as part of their 1998 software revenue. If they did, their software revenue would have been $141.9 million, which would have put them at Number 77 in the Software 500 ranking.

Due to incorrect information the magazine received, Novell's 1998 software revenue was incorrectly listed in the Software 500 as $685 million, The correct figure is $945 million, which would have put them at Number 15 in the Software 500 ranking. This will be reflected in next year's ranking. We regret any inconvenience this has caused.
