Active Software Inc. announced the availability of Version 3.1 of the Active Works Integration System.
ActiveWorks 3.1 is designed to deliver e-business integration faster and easier with new tools, adapters, and agents; security and performance enhancements; and platform support. Because ActiveWorks 3.1 fully supports the industry standard Universal Modeling Language (UML) notation, learning time is significantly shortened. Performance for ActiveWorks 3.1 has been increased by more than 25%, ensuring a highly scalable integration solution that can accommodate peak loads.

Platform support for the ActiveWorks Information Broker has been expanded to include HP and Silicon Graphics servers running HP-UX and Irix 6.5, respectively. This support allows customers of both companies to leverage existing hardware platforms to quickly deploy e-business solutions.
Active Works 3.1 can be licensed directly from Active Software or though select system integrators and VARs. Pricing starts at $75,000 and will vary with the size and complexity of customer projects.
