RSW Software, a business unit of Empirix Inc., unveils e-TEST suite 5, a Web application testing solution. The tool combines a visual scripting approach with the flexibility of advance programming using Microsoft VBA and other standard languages. The suite also includes major enhancements to RSW's flagship product, e-Load, including Unix-based load generation and server-side diagnostics.

RSW's e-Tester can now be extended using the embedded VBA. The integration offers additional flexibility and the power of a full development environment with script editor and debugger. A Test Case Wizard enables automatic generation of VBA test cases for any property of any object of the Document Object Model.

Additional data sources are included for monitoring performance statistics on the various tiers of the application to diagnose bottlenecks. New data sources include: BEA Web Logic, ATG Dynamo, iPlanet Web server, HP-UX, Linux, and network latency.

The e-Manager tool provides new test management features including the ability to group functional tests within projects, schedule their execution with e-Tester, and then centralize the results.
