The 4.0 release of NeuArchitect from NeuVis Inc., adds features supporting tighter integration with life cycle development tools and a simpler learning curve for developers skilled with older languages and tools. NeuArchitect is a modeling and construction tool that can quickly build N-tier, Web-aware applications for either .Net or J2EE platforms from its modeling specifications, which are UML-compliant.

The NeuArchitect 4.0 rapid application development process features the ability to import software assets from a variety of sources, including UML models, database schemas, components and legacy systems. Also, the tool can import from templates such as RosettaNet, Acord, Ariba and Commerce One. These assets then feed into a visual modeling environment that is consistent with UML, but adds value with rapid application-development features originated by NeuVis. These include UI features for the Web and wireless devices and messaging-and Web-services support for integrating with other software systems.
NeuArchitect 4.0 is priced at $5,995 per developer per year on a subscription basis. Runtime license prices vary by the number of components purchased. A typical project involving six to 12 developers costs in the range of $100,000 to $200,000; most engagements involve multiple projects.
