Bluestone Software

Software Magazine, Dec, 1999

Bluestone Software launched the Total-e-Business product suite. The product combines best-of-breed components for content management, personalization, and e-commerce with Bluestone's Sapphier/Web application server infrastructure and Bluestone XML Suite integration server -- based on JSP and XML standards.

The suite offers pre-built e-commerce components that set up all elements required for an e-commerce storefront, including catalog, shopping cart, credit card processing, shipping, and taxation. An integration server ties together data sources and applications to unite disparate business systems within the company, as well as with third-party partners, suppliers, and vendors, creating an engine for sharing data and documents for e-commerce, EDI, or supply chain communications. With the Total-e-Business personalization and recommendation engine, the online business a company builds can be customized for each user based on either pre-defined rules or realtime user interaction. The solution includes an intelligent matching engine, which combines user interaction and preference information to customize content delivery for each individual user.

Total-e-Business is scheduled to ship in Dec. 1999. Pricing will start at $100,000.
