Object Design

Software Magazine, Dec, 1999

Object Design announced Javlin, an EJB data server for a-business. Javlin enables EJB-based e-business applications to process data from a variety of sources. For example, an e-commerce application might combine pricing from corporate databases, promotional marketing information, shopping carts, and customer profiles. Javlin accelerates the development process by providing users with a place in the middle tier to store diverse data and synchronizing data from back-end enterprise data sources.

Javlin is EJB-compliant and plugs into leading EJB servers, such as BEA WebLogic, SilverStream, and IBM Websphere to provide storage for Enterprise Bears and other Java objects.

Javlin is available now. Pricing begins at $495 per seat for development and $11,900 per CPU for deployment.
