Collaboration

Software Magazine, August, 2000

From ViryaNet, Service Hub 3 is intended to enable a company's service community, including its internal service organization and employees, as well as its partners, customers, vendors, and suppliers, to collaborate in a real-time, structured Internet environment. Companies in the telcom, high-tech, and industrial automation industries can use Service Hub 3 to leverage legacy systems and processes while transforming their complex service processes into an e-business environment.

Service Hub 3 is based on industry standards such as HTML, XML, Java, and SQL. The components of Service Hub 3 that include major new capabilities are Service Portal, Service Process, and Integration Server. With Service Portal users can customize the appearance of the ViryaNet Portal. Service Process features new pre-configured work processes that enable users to log Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) over the Internet. These new workflow processes can receive input from external entities such as parameters from HTML forms and merge them with ViryaNet product functionality. The Integration Server includes a CORBA adapter, which enables CORBA systems to issue API service requests.

Service Hub 3 pricing starts at $400,000.
