Avantis.XA 2.0, an AS/400 management solution from Wonderware, includes 18 functional improvements designed to provide users with better maintenance scheduling, inventory, requisitioning, purchasing, and invoicing capabilities. Avantis.XA is an enterprise-wide solution that can be quickly implemented in multiple industries to manage production assets, vehicles, and facilities.

Wonderware developed the "Entity" concept to maximize the flexibility of equipment databases. An entity could be a piece of equipment, component, process line, factory, room, railway, division, or any other element in the organization. Avantis.XA enables users to identity "parent-child" relationships that can be used to build hierarchies for cost rollups, budgets, and operating statistics. Avantis.XA can support a user's unique maintenance and procurement environment, and minimize the risks associated with implementation. Other applications with the solution include: work management, preventive maintenance, MRO inventory, procurement, project accounting, imaging, approval (workflow management), and management reports.

Typical installations range from $75,000 to $250,000.
