BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE: Decision Support

Software Magazine, August, 2001

Metricus from Idelix is a visual decision support software tool that facilitates decisions where users must evaluate a number of choices based on a set of criteria. Metricus grants users the ability to simplify strategic planning; define investment and risk analysis; monitor employees through a recruiting and assessment feature; and assess procurement and purchasing. It allows users to create, analyze, and finalize decisions by providing wizard-enhanced data entry and numerical and graphical results. Typical applications may include human resource recruitment and assessments, purchasing reviews, sales and customer relationship performance, and strategic analyses.

The application pmvides criteria used for evaluation of candidates and rates the importance of characteristics depending on the job description. A candidate's profile is then weighted against others, with the results shown in graph form.

Other features of the software include easy data entry and editing wizards, data import/export capability, automatic or customized update of metric weights and assessed values, and multiple graph formats that can be inserted in Word, Excel, or other MS Office and Windows applications.

Pricing for Metricus, for individual users, begins at $299.
