Verity Inc. releases a portal infrastructure software, Verity K2 Enterprise (K2E). K2E integrates into portals to search, classify, categorize, and personalize data residing in internal and external repositories. The product features a three-tier foundation based on discovery, organization, and classification.
The Verity K2 Spider indexes documents from e-mail, databases, and other applications and categorizes incoming documents. Search functions include parametric searching of unstructured data, category drill-down through folders, and a full-text search of all document types. Classification can be augmented according to business rules. Security measures allow a filter to dictate users-access rights.
