ClickPlan

Software Magazine, Dec, 2000

From ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd., ClickPlan is a Web-based planning tool for service managers dispensing high-level resource allocation based on forecasted workload. It is a key component in the Service Chain Optimization Suite.

ClickPlan is accompanied by the introduction of ClickMobile, an integrated, optimized scheduling solution for PDA-equipped mobile field service personnel.

ClickPlan's service capacity planning functionality enables resource utilization and better service by identifying and resolving workforce shortages and surpluses, weeks to months in advance. ClickPlan compares forecasted workload (such as an increase in installation orders following a major promotional push) with actual work already allocated and scheduled among current service personnel.

With ClickMobile, service representatives in the field can send and receive updated schedule information throughout the day. Through integration with the ClickSchedule scheduling tool, ClickMobile provides automatic, real-time rescheduling.

Initially, ClickMobile will support PocketPC, Windows CE, and two-way pagers. ClickMobile supports most major wireless networks. ClickSoftware products can be integrated with most CRM, ERP, or custom systems. Vendors such as Clarify/Nortel, i2, SAP, Siebel, and Vantive/PeopleSoft include ClickSoftware solutions as part of their product offerings.

ClickPlan and ClickMobile prices start at $50,000 each. General release was planned for December 2000.
