Change Manager - BMC Software's program for automating DB2 data structure changes across subsystems - New Products: Mainframes: DB2 Tools - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Software Magazine, Sept, 1992

Available from BMC Software, Sugar Land, Texas, Change Manager automates DB2 data structure changes across subsystems.

The product automates the implementation, migration, synchronization and backout of data structure changes while preserving structure modifications that are unique to a specific subsystem. A central enabling technology for Change Manager, Change Definition Language (CDL) is a platform-independent proprietary language that provides for change migration while preserving data and local modifications. According to the vendor, this technology allows users to identify the differences between two versions of an application automatically rather than manually.

Change Manager is priced by CPU level with perpetual licenses beginning at $26,000.
