UIS, Inc., Lexington, Mass., has released Version 2.2 of the UIS-Manager systems management tool.
UIS-Manager automates routine systems management tasks. New features include a network accounts database facility, contained in the operations management system. This optional facility enables the system manager to hold a database of user accounts across the network. An automatic user-specific menu generation facility ensures that each user has access only to those items for which he/she has authorization. Changes in application availability are propagated automatically across all specific menus over the entire network. Version 2.2 also includes a reporting and analysis system.
