Software Magazine, Jan, 1997
Quintus Corp., Fremont, Calif., has released Version 1.2 of WebQ, the Internet connectivity piece for its CustomerQ help desk software. WebQ runs on HP-UX, Windows NT and IBM AIX, in addition to Sun Solaris.
Version 1.2 supports Visual Basic scripts, which can be used to configure the look and feel of help desk applications on the server. Quintus developed an abstraction layer for each of the servers it now supports, so these VB scripts will not be limited to NT.

Quintus will bundle WebQ with future versions of CustomerQ. "Our view is that if you buy a business application, it should come Web-enabled," says CTO Lawrence Byrd.
